I was excited to start my new internship with the Tiffin University Football team this summer as I began working as a operations intern. I was referred to the internship from one of my professors at Tiffin University as he mentioned that anyone wanting to explore a career in sports should check out the summer internships. There were a large variety of internships for the different sports at Tiffin University such as basketball, soccer, and even track & field.

My first day on the job was May 20th at 9 o'clock sharp at the football office where two other interns and I attended the orientation of how everything works and what to expect. Going through the orientation had me worried that I would not be able to keep up with the technology and how things were done in a different way. Most of the jobs assigned involved using a computer or some type of office tool.

My first day was overwhelming, I never knew how much data is being collected over the summer from current players, recruits, and even alumni. The first thing i learned was to enter data into a website called Scout-ware, where I take information such as recruit info, highlight films, and personal info into the system. This was my first step to learning how it is to work as a football coach and see how it is to do their job on a daily basis. These were just the first steps to becoming a operations intern as new things and task were thrown at me everyday and I accepted the challenge and began exploring in this industry.
